We are excited to share our news - we're expecting a baby girl in September. 

 

Introducing Katherine Nicole Moorhead!

Length: 19 inches

 

We're home from the hospital now and Katie is getting settled.  She loves her room and is enjoying lots of hugs and snuggles from Mom and Dad!  The hospital took great care of Katie and Mom, but we're both glad to be done with poking and prodding in the middle of the night!

We're looking forward to Katie's first Christmas...it will be 3 times the fun as the Moorhead family will be joining us for an early Christmas celebration, we'll be spending Christmas Eve at home, and then Christmas Day with the Jerves family!  Busy and happy times!

How quickly the last four months have flown by!  Katie has more than doubled her birth weight, coming in at 13lbs 12 oz and 24 in long/tall at her recent visit to the pediatrician.  She's playing with her toys and has figured out how to make her butterfly light up and play music.  She's halfway to rolling over (she can get on her side and starts to go the rest of the way, but isn't quite there yet.)

 

Last month's big discovery was hands, this month is FEET and TOES.  She will gladly show you how she can grab her toes and anything else that's handy.  Makes for an interesting time during diaper changes...
